Lynne has been a long-time contributor to our Mornington Peninsula community, having lived and volunteered here most of her adult life.
With her hobbies in Cooking, Embroidery and a number of crafts, it’s not hard to imagine Lynne giving her time to volunteer with other like-minded women within the Country Women’s Association (CWA) and spending time helping out at the Dromana Community House.
A devoted wife and mother of three children, Lynne cared for her two daughters and son while they grew up and continues to care for her youngest child in their home today, her daughter who has an intellectual disability.
Lynne well understands the plight of aging parents who continue to care for their children at home and remains anxious about their future once parents are no longer able to provide safe accommodation.
If you thought Lynne’s plate was full, think again. She joined CLA in 2014 and now find her sitting on the CLA Board, where her extensive catering knowledge and experience has been utilised to ensure our special events are well catered and looking its best with her flower arrangements. Lynne still makes a mean scone, but you need to be quick.
Want to meet Lynne? That’s easy, you are likely to see her at one of CLA’s Bunnings Sausage Sizzles (Rosebud), which she has done for many years.
Lynne, her husband and daughter have travelled widely to provide their daughter opportunities to experience cultures and what the world has to offer. I’m sure Lynne will be happy to share her travel tips and insights
Compassionate best describes our Lynne.
