Volunteer fundraiser co-ordinator

Community Lifestyle Accommodation Ltd (CLA) is a grassroots, not for profit company, that responds to the needs of carers, and people with a disability and we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven volunteer who can assist us with organising fundraising events to fund support & advocacy to carers and address the critical lack of suitable accommodation for people with an intellectual disability.

Job Location:
Mornington Peninsula

Overview:

Organise events/activities to raise funds for CLA (for housing/carer support):

  • One major event per year
  • Carer week event in October
  • Coordinate the general fund raising events such as sausage sizzles

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Organise fundraising events/activities. Chair the project team for major events
  • Build a fundraising team of volunteers
  • Solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts to use for raffles
  • Reach out to philanthropic organisations for donations
  • Work with the media person to raise awareness of the organisation’s work, goals, and financial needs

Qualifications:

  • Must be driven and organised
  • No experience needed but prior experience as a volunteer and working in a team helpful
  • Passionate about helping the vulnerable in our society
  • Internet and social media savvy
