Betty BOURKE

Director

Starting her working life as a Nurse, trained back in the ’60s set the cast for the person most admired by the CLA family. As a natural carer, Betty continues her vocation looking after her youngest daughter, with severe Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.
After learning of CLA from a friend, Betty became a CLA member in March of 2011. Betty’s work, knowledge and experience did not go unnoticed and was co-opted as a Board member in 2018.

Betty is a strong advocate for those without a voice, just like her daughter, in getting recognition from our community leaders to the plight of our ageing parents facing the daily prospect of not knowing what will happen to their children when they die.
