Our History

CLA is a grass roots, community-based organisation on the Mornington Peninsula that has risen to respond to the needs of carers and their sons and daughters with an intellectual disability.

  • We are a not for profit entity, a company ltd by guarantee with DGR status, managed by a volunteer board.  A dedicated group of parents and supporters who joined together to address the critical need to provide safe, accessible affordable housing options.
  • Responding to the urgent needs of participants & families needing assistance to navigate the complex NDIS system and disability service sector.
  • CLA liaises with all levels of Government , DHHS, NDIS, service organisations and the community.

We are a strong voice for our carers and their sons and daughters to have equal rights as all Australians.
