On Thursday April 26th a small group of people from the Community Lifestyle Accommodation group attended for sailing in the Rosza’s Beneteau, Amalie and lunch courtesy of Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron (BYS).
Activity such as this as part of the Sailability Blairgowrie program is in a small way support for both the parents and their children – all abilities and no experience needed.
On a 44 foot yacht we went out towards the heads, past Sorrento and Portsea with the motor running, then turned to come home by sail it was magical, no sounds, it was like we were gliding on the water. Two hours of complete relaxation, slight wind and blue sky. Club members went out of their way to make us welcome.
Then lunch on the deck facing the water was just beautiful.
Special thanks to Brian Jones Sailability Coordinator, the BYS staff and Sailability volunteers who assisted with this effort.
